A New Adventure - Bay Area Discovery Museum
Gabriel and I have a new favorite place called the Bay Area Discovery Museum. Mama is on a roll seeking out all of the discovery museums for tots in the area. The Bay Area Discovery Museum was a score. Located in Sausalito below the Golden Gate Bridge, it's a great scenic spot for a museum.
Gabriel loved the Tot Spot and the outdoor play area. They had all kinds of cute statues resembling garden creatures. They had little metal flowers where you could pull a string and a bee or spider would pop up. There was also a tunnel that Gabriel decided to skip. No way Jose. But he did like the thatch hut and hide out in there for a while.

Inside the Tot Spot was my favorite. You had to remove your shoes first. One one side they had a pond them with platforms and surrounding mini waterbeds covered in blue to emulate water. Gabriel loved crawing around in those and even braved walking on water later. There were also big buttons on the wall with bugs or animals painted on the front. Gabriel pressed the frog button over and over so it went Ribbit, ribbit. Above one of the pond alcoves they had a skylight fish tank complete with goldfish. So when you staired up a the ceiling you could see fish swimming around.
We didn't get to all of the different indoor areas but we spent the last half of our trip on the outdoor play area. They had an old boat kids could run onto and ring the bell. It was a litle too advanced for Gabriel. Instead we spent time in the excavating area full of gravel, tonka dumptrucks, and shovels. Their was also another thatch building, almost a maze. Gabriel was hanging out in their a while and he was doing a #2.

The #2 was a good segway to get his diaper changed and hit the road. He was starting to fade by that time anyways. We packed him up in the stroller and headed to the pier to check out the Golden Gate. A perfect spot for a photo. Gabriel enjoyed the seagulls and crab fishermen.
