Children's Fairyland with Grandma
Gabriel took his 4th trip to Children's Fairyland Sunday. Fairyland is one of my favorite places. Gabriel loved it too and it's great place for him to run around and play with all of the neat props. I My grandmother took me there a lot when I was a kid so I have a nostalgic attachment to the place. My mom (grandma) also went there as a kid so that means Fairyland is oooooooOLD.
Gabriel got to ride his first ride all by himself. I was nearby to take pictures of him on the Alice in Wonderland Teaparty Carousel, so you can see for yourself.
I learned some interesting facts about Fairyland on Wikipedia. It opened in 1950 and is the first theme park created to cater to families with young children. I guess Walt Disney visited Fairyland while touring the country and getting ideas for Disneyland.
