SuperFranks Review

Gabriel and Fam visted Superfranks on Saturday. SuperFranks is a newly opened family entertainment Restaurant in Pleasanton. It is kinda like a Chuck E Cheese but with more food selections. They also have an arcade, gym, big movie screen with kids movies playing and black light themed minigolf course. They had a pretty skimpy tot area with a school bus and pretend kitchen. (My friend has the same at her house and the food is cheaper there.) I spent 55 bucks on lunch for 5 people, 2 pizzas, a chinese chicken salad, chicken fingers and curly fries plus drinks. The food was good and I have half a large pizza left over.
SuperFranks is a cool concept, but I think they should diversify a bit allowing more play area for tots. Maybe even gate it off for safety. Besides the tot area, they were no cash free zones. You had to pay $5 per person to get into the gym and the golf course and of course all arcade games cost money for tokens. They had quite a bit of space devoted to the restaurant area and no matter how popular they get I don't see it ever been packed with people eating.
There really didn't seem to be enough age appropriate stuff for Gabriel (21 months) and I think it would be hard for mixed age families to keep track of all the kids in this 34,000 sq. feet family fun center.
I do look forward to trying the mini golf when gabriel get older. It looked really cool, but for now I think his attention span is too short and he would run off and look at all of the cool props under the black lights.
