Play Cafe in Oakland - Fun Food and Play
Gabriel and I tried out a new family dining/ play area Friday with Melissa and the girls.
The Play Cafe is located on Keller Ave in Oakland, ca.
I love it. 5.95 gets your toddler in the play area. Inside a gated entry there is a circular dining are and the play area are radiused out from the center. So you can have your sandwich and cappuccino while still keeeping a watchful eye on your little one. The layout is great. I ordered 2 cappuchinos, 2 kids entries and a bagel sandwich for around 20 bucks. Not bad.

The different play area include a play kitchen, a dress up area, a ball pit, a schoolroom with puzzles and such and a train table. Gabriel (almost 2) loved the train table, Abbey loved the Ball Pit and Jayne (4) was busy playing dress up and gallavanting around with her new possee.
We arrived on Good Friday around 10 and by noon it was packed so we headed out. Other parents said it get pretty packed later in the day and I could see that was starting to happen and the place was getting more and more hectic with all of the kids running around.
I will go again and make sure I hit it when it opens at 9.
