Based in the metropolitan New York City area, the Englewood Chamber Players was founded in 1992 by violinist Gabriel Schaff as a not-for-profit organization with the mission to present educational and historical concerts for local communities and for those underserved by live classical music. The group is comprised of professional musicians who seek to enrich their local communities with the universal language of music.

Outside of their work with the Englewood Chamber Players, member musicians regularly appear with such groups as the New Jersey Symphony, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, New York City Ballet, Orchestra of St. Luke’s, Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, and Princeton Symphony, and regularly perform in venues such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Radio City Music Hall and NJPAC.

The Englewood Chamber Players offer a range of engaging and accessible chamber music programs for 2 violins, 2 violins and piano, or violin and piano, and they can tailor their programs to your venue. Current programs on offer include:

·      Music by women composers celebrating the passage of the 19th Amendment

·      A retrospective of music by Beethoven in celebration of his 250th birthday

·      New and old music from the Viennese schools featuring Haydn, Mozart, and Beethoven

·      Music influenced by the 20th-century Industrial Age

·      Lost and found masterpieces from the Baroque Era
